It’s a London Thing is our Wednesday series in which we turn the spotlight on a unique aspect of London – perhaps a curious shop, sometimes an eccentric restaurant, a hidden place, book or oddity. The subject matter will be different every week. The running theme, however, will remain constant: you have to come to London to enjoy it. It’s A London Thing.
Brunel’s Thames Tunnel. It’s A London Thing.
And it’s on TV this Thursday night (9p.m Channel 4), with London Walks guide Robert – Curator of the Brunel Museum – on hand to give expert inside info. Appropriately enough, 10th November is, to the exact day, the anniversary of Brunel’s famous underwater Thames Tunnel Banquet 1827.
To whet your appetite, you can view a film of Robert’s walk HERE.
The Brunel's Thames Tunnel Walk takes place every Tuesday evening at 6.15 pm and every Sunday morning at 10.45 am. It’s A London Thing.
