The Second Test Match takes places at Lord’s in north London this week. To mark the occasion, The Last Hour will dredge up a cricketing fact of the day every night this week.
We’ll be back again in the week of the 19th August when the 5th Test takes place at The Oval in south London.
(The Nightly London Photoblog will return next week)
The famous Lord’s weathervane in the shape
of Old Father Time is a reference to Law 16(3) of the Laws of Cricket:
"After the call of Time, the bails shall be removed from both
wickets."
A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
