Let's All Go Down The Strand No.10

Stalking The Strand with camera and pen, David Tucker presents a few new angles on one of London's most famous thoroughfares…

Where the Wild Things Are

But of course. Another lion. Read a red red lion. A blood-red lion.

And that tongue.  You could tongue- and tail- tug-of-war him. If you dared.

Dared being the mot juste. Cuz even the rain doesn’t dare fall on him.

You think you’re in London? In England? Think again. You’re a traveller in his country, his antique land. It’s just you. And him. Where the lone and level sands stretch far away.

He’s rampant.

And you’re…?

Dead meat? Scared? Hoping to wake up soon? Back pedaling for all you’re worth?

How do you like it down the Strand? Where the wild things are.

A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
