Friday is Rock'n'Roll #London Day – Every Picture Tells A Story

Adam writes… The Rock'n'Roll London Walk kicks off at 2pm today at Tottenham Court Road station. Richard P is leading today, and I'll be taking advantage of a rare afternoon off to begin a busy weekend of music-related art.

Tomorrow I'm heading off to North London's Arts Depot for the opening of This Is Music, an exhibition of 16 music-inspired works by artist Michael Haynes.

Michael's work is already very familiar to those who pass through East Finchley Underground station on a regular basis…

Indeed Michael himself is also well-known to East Finchley-ites as he works at the station when he's not creating art.

Michael's website is here: www.michaelhaynesart.com. And here's how to get to the Arts Depot…

This afternoon I'll be popping along to Somerset House for the About the Young Idea exhibition, featuring instruments and memorabilia from the career of The Jam.

Here's how to find Somerset House…

For the third item, I'll apply the term "art" quite loosely! This weekend I'll be carrying on with illustrations for Issue 2 of the Rock'n'Roll London Comic Book Fanzine starring The Who…

Issue one, part comic book, part review, part self-guided walking tour of Pink Floyd's London is available for sale in download HERE and in print HERE. You can also help yourself to a free download six page sampler.

And here's our Rock'n'Roll London film…

A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
