The #London #Comedy Plaque Trail No.2/6 Graham Chapman

Follow our Comedy Plaque Trail every day this week and it will lead you to Andrew Lukas's MINISTRY OF SILLY WALKS – A HISTORY OF ALTERNATIVE COMEDY tour this Sunday 2nd August at 10:45a.m meeting at Leicester Square tube exit 1

Where else would we find a plaque for Monty Python's Graham Chapman…

…but on the pub?

The pub is The Angel in Highgate.

At the unveiling of the plaque back in 2012, Chapman's friend and Monty Python colleague Michael Palin told the BBC:

"This was Graham's manor and Graham was a lovely guy. I spent many happy times with him, most of which I forget. This was where he was and we used to come up here to see him.

"Highgate was his patch and he should be celebrated because he was a very good, brilliant, funny, nice, wise, kind man, who occasionally drank too much."
