Thanks to London cab driver no 75267 who delivered three late London Walkers to our Jack the Ripper tour last night.
We were ten minutes-or-so into our walking tour yesterday evening when a cab pulled up alongside us.
"Is this the London Walks Jack the Ripper tour?" asked the driver.
I replied that it was.
"I've just dropped three people off at the Tower Hill tram (our meeting point) to join your tour. If you hang on I'll go back and get them for you."
And he did just that!
Thus Steve, Jennifer and Ryan from Indianapolis were able to join us – all thanks to a black cabbie going the extra mile for London.
It was all a bit of a rush so I was unable to get the driver's name, but as he pulled away in his silver cab I caught his number.
Thanks again No. 75267. You do our city proud.
I bet you don't get THAT level of commitment to London on Uber.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
