Walk Right! Stand Left! @NPR @TfL

By way of a follow-up to my earlier post that featured a plaque for great London jazzman Ronnie Scott, I loved this jazz-related story on NPR.

It's from DC – that's the city, not this DC, The Daily Constitutional! – where there's an unwritten "rule" that passengers on the metro should stand on the right of the escalator and walk on the left.

Sounds like a GREAT system to me!

Here in London the rule inspires tannoyed announcements. In D.C, someone has written a jazz number to get the message home.
