A London commemorative plaque for every day in 2016.

The plaques are selected from all walks of life, and all points of the London compass – and I'm taking requests too!

Mary Wollstonecraft was born in Spitalfields in 1759. Her plaque can be found at 45 Dolben Street, Southwark SE1.

Her Vindication of the Rights of Women, published in 1792 was one of the first major works of feminist philosophy. It is available for download from Project Gutenberg at www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/3420

While living at Dolben Street, Wollstonecraft wrote Original Stories from Real Life, which was illustrated by William Blake.
